Great Movies to Watch with Your Family

     While trapped at home, many families have started to have daily movie nights, or just watching more television because there is nothing better to do. 

Wreck-it Ralph-Wreck-it Ralph is a movie about a video game character who, after all the humans leave the arcade when it closes, goes to the headquarters of all of the video games, a power strip, and somehow breaks the internet. Rated PG. The Incredibles-The Incredibles are about a family who have super powers, and they help save the world from evil villains. All of the family have different super powers, including baby Jack-Jack. They also deal with family problems such as sibling fights. Rated PG. Boss Baby-Boss Baby is about a baby, who comes from Babycorp, and tries to help his workers at Babycorp to stop dogs from taking the cuteness away from babies. Rated PG (also a TV show). Toy Story-Toy Story is about the secret life of toys when people are not around. When Buzz Lightyear, a space-ranger, takes Woody's place as Andy's favorite toy, Woody doesn't like the situation and gets into a fight with Buzz. Rated G. Onward-Onward is about two elf brothers who set out on a quest to find an artifact that will temporarily bring back their deceased father from the dead. Rated PG. Beauty and the Beast-Beauty and the Beast (Dan Stevens) is about a prince who is cursed to live as a terrifying beast until he finds true love. Strangely, his chance comes when he captures an unwary clockmaker, whose place is then taken by his bold and beautiful daughter Belle (Emma Watson. Helped by the Beast's similarly enchanted servants, including a clock, a teapot and a candelabra, Belle begins to see the sensitive soul behind the fearsome facade. But as time runs out, it soon becomes obvious that Belle's cocky suitor Gaston is the real beast of the piece.


These next movies are for older audiences, but are still good for kids.

Harry Potter-One of the best blockbusters of all time, Harry Potter is about a young boy named Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), and his mother and father were killed by the Dark Lord, and Harry gets a letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There he meets his best friends for life, Ron (Rupert Grint), and Hermione (Emma Watson), and also his lifetime enemy, Draco (Tom Felton). With each movie there are plot twists. Movies are rated PG and PG-13. Star Wars-Star Wars is set in a galaxy far far away. A young boy named Anakin (Jake Lloys and Hayden Christenson) goes into training to become a Jedi. Along the way, he starts falling in love with Padme (Natalie Portman). He eventually turns to the dark side where he goes by Darth Vader. Luke (Mark Hamill) then becomes a Jedi, and he faces Darth Vader in a battle, where he learns a terrible truth. Luke and Leia (Carrie Fisher) then start a new republic, but there is a new sith lord, Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), who is Leia’s own son. Star Wars is loved by fans all over the world. Movies are rated Pg and PG-13. Jurassic Park-Jurassic Park is about a scientist who finds a mosquito in honey from the time the dinosaurs lived, and he takes the DNA from the blood it sucked to create dinosours. The dinosaurs are kept on an island, and they are escaping and doing a lot of crazy stuff that was never meant to happen. Rated PG-13.
